Her parents are Russian economics Tatyana Semenovich and Gregory T. the Director of Fur Company. When she was a kid, she became sick and was in the hospital. He was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. He was famous for his skating prowess with Denis Samokhin, a compatriot. Together, they participated in two Junior World Championships and placed 7th both in 1993 and 1994. She worked briefly with Maxim Kachanov. Later, as a team, they placed 5th at the Goodwill Games. Both skaters were able to succeed in their team-up as both won the Finlandia Trophy and participated in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. They accomplished more tasks. However, the most memorable was the 15th-place result they earned at the World Championships of 1998.
